Party For Freedom och National Front [France])?

    1. This is a very difficult question, as u know SD is considered as an right extremist party by many jounalist and people and its going to take a few mandate periods before poeple trust them. They are showing by their actions and party program that they are infact not rascist. The problem is that it takes even longer to convince the same people that geert wilder, danish people party, true finns etc. are not rasists. Because the termonology, and political debate depends on the countrys culture and swedes might not understand how the debate works in other countries. Therefore they first need to accept that SD is a party like any other, then they need to start being sceptical to how swedish journalist interpreted foreign immigration critical parties (althoug they are not actually immigration critical, just critical to immigration that is a strain to the society). After this people might look into what geert wilders and his likes actually are saying, and at that time a cooperation will not have a large negative effect on SD. Notice that Denmark js often seen as a terrible example of where sweden might be headded, so even talkes with danish people party are seen as "proof of rasicm". Some of this is due to missunderstanding about how a debate is conducted in denmark, where a politician that does not show a personal interest or agitation, would not last a year, while in sweden its the opposite: any raise in voice is automatically seen as hostile and failure to debate, ie. You lost the debate. This is one of the reasons why swedes are getting so scared when they saw Pia Kjergaards agitaion over different issues, but this same agitation is seen in all politicians in denmark nomatter what the discussion is. Just as in england you see sarcasm and personal insults (tastfull personal insults), and in other places waterbottles are throw. But then again, swedes have a inherrent view that all other people are also swedes, so they might never get this. I am guessing that no earlier than next mandate periods for talkes between SD and DF and perhaps even later with other parties, but then again, it also depends on how bad Swedish economy is going to be the next couple of years... and I think its going to be really bad..

As you might or might not know, many of these parties are expressing that they would like to see more democracy, after the Swiss system, i.e. direct democracy, wouldnt that be a interesting path for the european union.

    2. Interesting answer. I agree in most part with your answer. I actually think that swedes are going to sympathize with geert wilders (in some issues e.g. the islamisation of europe), but it's taking 10 years from now maybe). Swedes have given up their culture in many aspects, i.e. church ceremonies when graduating is forbidden in some of schools, celebrating Lucia and, the swedish flag is even seen as a symbol for rascism (why not change the flag to a multiculturalism kind of flag is a suggestion from some).

I actually don't think that the above aspects will be the trigger for people to embrace The Swedish Democrats, and some of the other right wing parties in Europe. The end of this will be the economic failure, when people realize that they are not able to get a job in the near future, they will end this. Because swedes don't generally care that much of their culture, just if they have a job and continue with their business they will be satisfied (islamisation is not that big of a deal at the moment, swedes actually find other cultures exciting in many ways, I do think so too in some cases, but not when it's eating up society and the Swedish culture is declining because of this). From my point of view, the turning point will be as said before, the economic failure. From the younger generation which can't get a job in the near future and the continuing process, when the generations shifts will enhance the movement to vote for a "conservative right wing party". Let's see when Sweden's economy is actually that bad, that swedes are voting for SD, even in Stockholm where SD is low in their support.

  2. This supports my views aswell, its not that SD does not find some things about other cultures worth embracing, its about making a stand about things that does not result in a more productive society or things that direct limits people freedom. But again, many people and journalists sees it as a black and white debate. As if its impossible to see positive thing with immigration, and at the same time say that immigration should be limited. We recognize the ridiculous arguments about foreign doctors in sweden, like these people are the same people that SD want to stop coming to sweden. Its not a very good argument and hopefully most people will see through it and realize that SD do not want to limit immigration in areas of demand. Regarding our comment about economy I cant agree more. But in south of europe we have a huge youth unemployment, "unfortunately" many of these youth are supported by their families, imagine if they were not... then we probably would see a revolution, or at lest violent demonstrations, which is what nigel farage has been warning us about in years and years.

Sorry about going out on a tangent, but in a way its quite amusing how the socialist parties in northen EU are digging their own grave. In a missunderstood show of solidarity to people living outside of their own country, on a expense of the solidarity to the own people, the socialistic movement that did so many great things post war is slowley losing power. For instance, DF in denmark has a left economic policy, but have been cooperated with the concervative parties since the left shun them. It results in voters moving from socialist parties toward DF. Then again, my wife who is danish will never vote for DF even though she supports their view on immigration, which means that there is an inherent refusal to vote for these parties that will take decades to remove. Jimmie A did the right move to introduce zero tolerance for extreme views in the party (which I am sure was implemented ages before, but apperently new to journalists), consistence in these things might get some people to begin trusting these parties more, but its still a long way to go. Democracy is never fast, but its powerful.

  3. Jag blir glad av det här och hoppas det sprider sig snabbt.
Dom är söta och det verkar som om "högerextremister" egentligen bara vill sprida sunt förnuft. Hoppas fler inser det!
